Qualifications (入居申込み条件) |
The applicant must fulfill all the requirements listed below.
(1) Being in need of a housing unit in Marugame City
(2) Presently being in difficulty to obtain housing
(3) Having monthly income under fixed amount
(4) Having no delinquency in tax payment such as residential tax
(5) Not having your own house
(6) Having relatives presently living together or who will be living together (including a common law spouse or fiancee whom you will marry in three months after you apply for the municipal housing.)
※ Even a single person may be permitted to apply, if he or she fulfills the following conditions.
・ One who is over age of 50
・ Physically handicapped person( 1st grade to 4th grade degree of handicaps)
・ The war wounded or diseased ( who have handicaps under certain conditions)
・ An A-bomb victim
・ Public assistant recipient prescribed in the Livelihood Protection Law
・ The repatriate who repatriated to Japan less than 5 years ago
・ One who had been hospitalized at a sanitarium of Hansen's disease (leprosy), and who is able to have a certificate of hospitalization

Period of Application (申込み時期) |
You can find the period of application in "Koho-Marugame" the public relations magazine. (Basically you can apply for municipal housing in the middle of June, October and February.) Especially some units of Fujimi Danchi and Hirayama Heights have vacant units and you can apply for those municipal housings at any time. Additionally municipal housings for sufferers of natural disaster are open at any time.

A certified copy of resident's card of those who will be tenants |

A certificate of income taxacation (Shotoku-Kazei-Shomeisho) issued by the chief of applicant's local government. (Either a certificate of income or a certificate of student registration will be necessary instead of a certification of income taxacation if the applicant is over 15 years old and has no income.) |

A certificate of tax payment (Nozei-Shomeisho) issued by the chief of applicant's local government. |

The applicant who is under the following conditions needs to submit other documents. Ask what you have to submit to the person who has the charge of Housing Section.
・ Who has current-work experience less than a year
・ Who retired from a job last year or this year
・ Who is in the period of engagement
・ A motherless or fatherless family (widow or widower)

Drawing Lots (入居者の決定) |
Applicants under required conditions will draw lots at City Hall. You can rent municipal housing when the lot falls on you.

Rent (家賃) |
| Rent of municipal housing unit is calculated referred to the household's income, the location of housing, its floor space or the year of construction and so on. |
When you move into a housing unit… (入居時の手続き等) |

Tenant needs to have a Japanese guarantee and submit a contract with signature and registered seal of tenant and his / her guarantee. Also some documents such as registered seal (Inkan Shomei) are required to be attached to a contract. |

Tenant needs to pay security deposit (amount of three months' rent)
when you move into his / her unit. |
